The Hip Hop Generation has the potential to shape, form and fashion the image of the entire world. It is recommended that the Hip Hop Generation utilize it's vast Mega Force of Media Communications and Media Projections to propagate and promulgate Divine Consciousness, Moral Excellence and a Virtuous Paradigm. That the Hip Hop Generation become a revolutionary voice for human salvation, human liberation and human dignity. Music and Art are a reflection of the human psyche.

The Hip Hop Generation needs to avow the simple mathematical equation of: when you present a problem, present the solution. In other words: "if you are not a part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem."

"YOUR MUSIC VIDEO PROGRAMMING"

"Dear Program Director,

I am disturb by the images in many of the urban music videos that your station airs- in particular, sexually explicit videos featuring half-naked young women who often serve as mere props. Remember your audience, many of whom are children, and now your current programming effects their self-image and beliefs.

As a viewer and a consumer of the products you advertise, I strongly urge you to offer more balanced and accurate representations of black women. These images are a growing hot-button issue among Black people and many critically thinking women and men are no longer willing to tolerate the disrespect.

Even though your network does not create the videos you air, you do have the power to set and maintain a higher standard. Use your influence to challenge directors and artists to produce creative alternatives in their depiction of Black Women. I look forward to seeing programming changes soon.
